With the smartphone pricing becoming very crucial for handset makers in the competitive market, UMi has now launched the ultra-affordable UMi Rome.
UMi, the Chinese handset maker well-known for offering high-end specs at affordable prices, has announced the launch of the UMi Rome, which is the company’s latest smartphone with a massive 3 GB RAM and a very affordable pricing. The device has a 5.5 inch AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek processor with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The UMi Rome has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with Sony IMX164 sensor and dual LED flash. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a 2500 mAh battery. The handset is priced at just $89.99 (which is well below the Rs. 6000 price point) and is also expected to be launched in India.
