A few days back we had reported a Russian blogger who claimed that the Tizen project was dead followed by an official statement from Intel stating that the project is progressing. Now to make things more believable a Tizen tablet prototype has been displayed.
According to sources, a tablet running on the Tizen v2.0 Magnolia OS was seen. While the OS seemed to be in its early experimental stages, it is expected to have a better UI as it nears its launch. While it hasn’t been confirmed, the tablet is expected to launch in Japan during the Smartphone & Mobile Expo which is scheduled for the October 23. Sadly the device will be available only to Tizen developers.
The Tizen tablet has a 10.1 inch fHD display with 1920 c 1200 pixels resolution. It is said to be powered by a 1.4 GHz quad core ARM Cortex-A9 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device is also equipped with a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera.
