Given the stiff competition in the upcoming 4G market, Telenor (earlier known as Uninor), has now launched its 4G LTE services in India.
Telenor has announced the launch of its 4G LTE services in Varanasi city in the UP East circle. The operator is said to have deployed narrow-band LTE network on its 1800 MHz spectrum to offer the services. The company also has plans for wide-spread rollout soon.
However, Telenor seems to have killed it with the pricing of its data packs. The operator is offering 100 MB 4G data for Rs. 11 and 250 MB data for Rs. 22 with one day validity. Further, there are also special combo plans which for Rs. 149 offer 1 GB 4G data with all local calls at 25 paise per minute and Rs. 219 for 2 GB 4G data for a period of 28 days.
