In a path-breaking venture being executed by Tata DoCoMo, India’s leading airports might soon get Wi-Fi services for the nearly 45 million travellers handled by these airports.
As per the partnership signed between Tata DoCoMo and GMR Airports, the duo would work together to provide high-speed Wi-Fi services at Indira Gandhi International Airport at Terminal 3 in Delhi and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The service, which is a first-of-its-kind in India, will cover entire airports including private airline lounges.
Once the Wi-Fi service is setup, Passengers transiting through the airport will be able to access the free Wi-Fi services for a specified time, after which the passenger can continue to avail Wi-Fi services by paying for it online. International passengers can also connect to the service by using their relationship with their home Mobile or Broadband service provider.
