As part of its plans to get people connected to the internet, Tata Docomo is all set to rollout Wi-Fi services in the commercial Connaught Place area.
Tata Docomo has announced that it has partnered with the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to offer Wi-Fi services in the Connaught Place area. The services are scheduled to begin in the first week of July and would initially cover more than 4 kilometres which includes the inner and outer circles of the area.
As usual, the operator would offer the first 20 minutes for free after which the customer can buy a plan online or through scratch cards. There would be various plans depending on the usage time including 40 minutes usage for Rs. 20, 60 minutes for Rs. 30 and 100 minutes for Rs. 50.
Speaking about the initiative, Avinash Gabriel, Chief Operating Officer, Wi-Fi Business, Tata Docomo, said, “With these services we are targeting business and non-business visitors who increasingly need connectivity with higher speeds across multiple devices.”
