Mobile phones send signals to nearby towers through radio waves, a form of energy similar to microwaves. But the radiation produced by them cannot directly damage DNA and is different from stronger types of radiation like X-rays or ultraviolet rays. At very high levels, radio frequency waves from mobile phones can heat up body tissue, but that is not believed to damage human cells.
So this study totally clears the claims that were been made in the past that there is a slight possibility of cancer and even brain tumour if you have been a mobile phone user since the past decade or so.
Whatever the case may be, mobile phones are here to stay and, cancer or no cancer, mobile phone users are going to increase by the numbers.
