While the Sony Xperia Z series has been well accepted globally for its design and waterproof features, with the recently launched Sony Xperia Z1 adding excellent camera features as well, Sony may be planning the second edition for the series – the Sony Xperia Z2.
According to sources, Sony is working on the Sony Xperia Z2 which has model number C770X and is codenamed as Avatar. The device has a huge 5.2 inch IGZO Triluminuous Display with a very high resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which means the device would have a pixel density of 500 ppi making it the highest till now.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is expected to be powered by the superfast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 Chipset and a huge 3 GB of RAM. The device would be equipped with the same 20.7 MP camera with G Lens and would also be capable of supporting 4K video capture. Also on board would be the latest Android KitKat v4.4 along with a 3200 mAh battery. While the release date is not yet known, like the Xperia Z series last year, this device would definitely spark fireworks at the CES 2014.
