With Mozilla entering the smartphone business with its Firefox OS, it intends to also step in to the tablet domain. While it does seem early, the first images and expected specs of such a tablet have been leaked.
According to sources closely linked to Mozilla, the company is apparently working on its first tablet, which though would be developed internally, would be manufactured by Foxconn. The tablet is supposed to have a massive 10.1 inch display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device would be powered by the low-cost 1 GHz Allwinner processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
As of now the tablet is said to be Wi-Fi only, however another variant with 3G connectivity may come out at a later stage. The tablet would be equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera and have a huge 7000 mAh battery. While the tablet would definitely be in business if priced affordably, the company could have started with smaller tablet, like 7 inches, to enter the market.
