Sony Xperia Z5 users on NTT Docomo in Japan started receiving the Marshmallow update last week. Now, Sony has started rolling out the update for the global variants as well.
Firmware with number 32.1.A.1.163 is currently rolled out to all the variants of the Xperia Z5 including the Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium. This update carries Android version 6.0 of Marshmallow and not 6.0.1. Android security patch of February has also been included in this update.
Features such as App Permissions and Doze are included in this update as one would expect. What isn’t included is the Sony’s STAMINA mode, maybe Sony will include it in the upcoming updates. Also not included is the Adoptable Storage feature.
