As we had expected, Sony has unveiled its latest high-end tablet, the Xperia Z4 Tablet. Along with the tablet, Sony has also unveiled the mid-ranger M4 Aqua The tablet is one of the slimmest and lightest tablets on the market, which should bode well for the device.
The highlight of the device of course is the 10.1-inch display of 2K resolution (2560 x 1600p). The device is powered by Qualcomm’s beastly Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with 3 gigs of RAM for your multitasking needs. The tablet comes with 32 GB of on-board storage with microSD expansion up to 128 GB, so there should be no shortage of memory.
On the camera front, the tablet has 8 MP rear Exmor RS sensor along with a wide-angle 5 MP front-facing camera. The tablet comes wit a 6000 mAh battery, which Sony claims will give up to 17 hours of video playback. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sony’s tablet optimised launcher. There will be WiFi and 4G LTE variants of the tablet.
As with other Sony devices, the Xperia Z4 tablet offers water and dust resistance (IP65 and IP68 rating). The device also packs in surround sound effect and it optimises the music playback depending upon your headset. The tablet also supports hi-res audio playback and digital noise cancellation.
