While Sony has launched a series of new smartphones at the IFA 2014, the company also launched a unique compact version of its high-end tablet – the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
Sony has announced the launch of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, which according to the company is designed to complement the flagship Xperia Z3 smartphone. Despite being a compact version, the tablet packs in specs similar to the Xperia Z3 tablet except for the display size.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has an 8 inch TRILUMINOS display with resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. The tablet is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM but just 16 GB of internal storage.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has an 8.1 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 2.2 MP camera. The device runs on the latest Android KitKat version with a battery that is touted to last for 13 hours on video playback. The tablet is expected to be launched worldwide later this month.
