At the end of last year, we came across a report, which suggested Sony’s plans of releasing two flagships a year. While the Xperia Z2 was unveiled early this year, Sony is gearing up to release the Xperia Z3 in September. Well, that’s what the rumors suggest and we have also come across more info on the supposed Xperia Z3.
The information comes from @DooMLorD_XDA, which has been pretty reliable when it comes to Sony related news. According to him, the Xperia Z3 will come with a new design and it’ll be ultra thin at 7mm, which is exactly what previous rumors have suggested. The bezels too will be lesser than what we have seen on previous Sony devices. He has also revealed that the Z3 will not be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.
No Snapdragon 805 means that the device will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 801. We are not really sure as to why Sony might have taken that decision but we do know that Snapdragon 801 is no slouch.
DooMLorD also revealed that Sony will not bring a Xperia Z Ultra successor, which is strange considering we recently came across reports suggesting that Sony is working on a Z Ultra successor.
As per the rumors, Sony plans to release the Xperia Z3 in September. If that’s true, then it will be just in time for devices like the Apple iPhone 6, Galaxy Note 4 and One M8 Prime. Sony will have to bring something great to really stand out against these devices and the new design is something we are keen to witness.
