The mini version of the popular Sony Xperia Z1 has popped up in the rumour mills several time. While we could wait no longer, Sony has officially unveiled the international version of the Sony Xperia Z1f dubbed as the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.
The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is an exact copy of the Xperia Z1f, which is available only in Japan. The device has a smaller 4.3 inch display with 720p resolution. The internal specs are the same as the Xperia Z1, including the 2.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, like the other handsets in the series, is dust and waterproof. The device can withstand up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The device has a 20.7 MP camera module with the Sony G Lens and LED flash. The phone packs in a 2300 mAh battery which is said to last up to 12 hours of video playback.
