While just yesterday we saw the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in India, the camera phone from Sony, which was launched on the same day at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, has been launched in India.
The Sony Xperia Z1, which is a camera centric phone, has a 20.7 MP Exmor RS camera sensor which features the company’s award winning G Lens with a 27 mm wide angle and bright F2.0 aperture. The device uses the BIONZ engine for image processing. The camera assures high shutter speed and up to 3x clear image zoom. There are various dedicated camera applications including the Info-eye which provides related information on landmarks by just capturing the image. The smartphone is also equipped with a front facing 2 MP camera with 1080p video support.
The Sony Xperia Z1 has a 5 inch full HD Triluminos display which uses the X-Reality engine for mobiles. The device is powered by a powerful 2.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The device has the Android version 4.2.2 running with a 3000 mAh battery. The phone will be available in India priced at Rs. 44990.
