While we all remember the thinnest 10.1 inch tablet that was displayed at the Mobile World Congress by Sony earlier this year, the company has today officially launched the Xperia Z in India.
Sony India today officially announced the launch of its 10.1 inch Xperia Z in India. The tablet measuring 6.9 mm is the said to the world’s thinnest 10.1 inch tablet. The tablet has a 10.1 inch 1080p display with Sony’s mobile Bravia engine. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Sony Xperia Z has two cameras with an 8.1-megapixel rear camera with ExmorR for mobile sensor and a front facing 2.2-megapixel camera. The tablet runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS and packs in a massive 6000 mAh battery.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is priced at Rs. 46999. As an introductory offer, Sony India is also offering the Xperia Tablet Z with a free 16GB microSD card, a premium case worth Rs 2,990.
