Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ earlier this month along with Xperia X Compact. The Xperia XZ is a flagship device whereas the Xperia X Compact is a mid-ranger. Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ in three colors – Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum. However, it looks like Sony will launch the Xperia XZ in one more color – Deep Pink.
The casing of Deep Pink variant of Xperia XZ has leaked online confirming the fact that Sony will indeed launch the Xperia XZ in Deep Pink. Besides this casing, Sony’s whitepaper also has a reference to the Deep Pink variant of Xperia XZ.
However, Sony has clearly mentioned in the whitepaper that the Deep Pink variant will only be launched in select markets and won’t be available everywhere. Don’t expect any changes to the hardware under the hood as this Deep Pink variant will only differ by its color.
For those unaware, the Xperia XZ comes with Snapdragon 820 under the hood which is laced with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. It flaunts a 5.2-inch HD display and ships with a 2900 mAh battery. The Xperia XZ boots up to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and sports a 23 MP camera at the back and 13 MP camera on the front. The single SIM variant comes with 32 GB of internal storage whereas the dual SIM variant comes with 64 GB of internal storage. The device also comes with fingerprint scanner housed on the power button for those who prefer extra layer of security.
Sony might launch the Deep Pink Xperia XZ on or before the Valentine’s Day or the Chinese New Year in 2017. By the way, do you prefer a smartphone which is pink in color?
