If you own a Sony Xperia S smartphone, there is some good news coming in for you all. While the device went on to launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, it also received the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.
And if you have been waiting to hear as to when your smartphone will receive some Jelly Bean love, Sony has said in a reply to a tweet that the company will spill more beans on the upgrade for the device in mid-December.
Back in October, Sony went on to confirm the names of the lucky few smartphones from the Japanese giant which will go on to receive the much awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade and the list went on to include the Sony Xperia S which was announced in the Q1 2012.
Sony has confirmed that its late-2012 devices like Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will go on to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from mid-Q1 of 2013, which will be after January 2013.
Sony has also confirmed that the international variants of the Sony Xperia acro S, Xperia ion, Xperia P, Xperia go, Xperia J and the Sony Xperia S will surely be getting some Android 4.1 Jelly Bean love.
So, just a couple of weeks to go until we have a clear timeline as to when Sony will roll-out the upgrade.
