Just a few days after the Xperia E1 started receiving the KitKat updates, Sony has now started rolling out the update to the Xperia M2, which is quite popular in India due to the affordable pricing.
Sony has announced that it has started rolling out the Android KitKat v4.4 updates to the Xperia M2 and the Xperia M2 Dual smartphones. The rollout, which begins this week, will be pushed in a phased manner with devices in India expected to receive the update by the end of the month. This update is said to offer major performance tweaks for the handsets.
The Android KitKat v4.4 updates for the Xperia M2 and the Xperia M2 Dual smartphones adds support for printing, emojis etc. with the update, users can now move their apps to the SD cards. There are some major changes in UI with a more intuitive and customizable Status Bar and Quick Settings. The update also adds compatibility with SmartWear Experience; SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app.
