While the flagship devices of Sony, the Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Z Ultra have already been updated to Android 4.3, the company has started rolling out the updates for its other major devices.
Sony has started rolling out the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean updates to four of its devices, which include three smartphones and a tablet. The devices receiving the updates are the Sony Xperia Z, the Sony Xperia ZL, the Sony Xperia ZR and the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. All these devices were launched in 2013 with just Android v4.1.2.
The new Android v4.3 update for the Sony devices brings some new features to the handsets. For example, the Sony Social Camera, which was shown on the Xperia Z1, is now available on these devices as well. The media applications and other core Sony apps have been optimized with the update. There is also Android security enhancements along with the Xperia in Business, which is Sony’s mobile enterprise solution.
