After announcing a massive line-up of new smartphones, including the flagship Xperia Z3, Sony has also launched two new wearables, a smartwatch and a smartband.
Sony has announced the launch of the Sony SmartWatch 3 and the SmartBand Talk, which are the company’s latest wearable devices. The Sony SmartWatch 3, which also happens to be the company’s first watch powered by the Android Wear platform, has a 1.6 inch TFT LCD display and runs on a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. The watch has Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro and GPS sensors fitted in.
The Sony SmartBand Talk on the other hand has a 1.4 inch e-paper display to show notifications from your smartphone, get time and monitor Lifelog activities. When connected to a smartphone it can also be used to talk and listen to the call without having to directly use the smartphone. The built-in accelerometer and altimeter can be used to measure your physical activity such as walking, running or climbing.
