With wearable’s gaining importance, Sony has now launched the Sony SmartBand 2 activity and fitness tracker.
Sony has announced the launch of the Sony SmartBand 2 activity and fitness tracker, which is the second generation fitness wearable from the company. The Smartband comes equipped with a multi-sensor lifelogger that provides full-scale insights about your fitness and stress levels. Also present is a combination of an accelerometer and optical heart-rate sensor that together measures your pulse as well as mood and stress during the day.
Other features of the Sony SmartBand 2 include alerts when you have a call, message, email or tweet through vibration and pulsing LEDs on the strap. The device has 3 coloured LEDs for notifications that can be used for different notifications such as incoming calls or messages. The band can also be used to play and pause music on the connected smartphone.
