A new handset from the Sony Xperia NXT family has been spotted. Codenamed as the MT27i ‘Pepper’, the smartphone seems to have similar looks the newly announced Xperia series (S,P,U) except for the LED band below the display.
While the official specs of the handset are still a mystery, sources claim that it might be the successor of the Xperia Neo.
Rumoured specs of the device include a 1GHz and dual-core processor, a 3.7-inch FWVGA display, a 5 megapixel camera, NFC (thanks to the NFC tags in the image), and the usual bits of connectivity options. We presume it will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be later upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich just like the other Xperia NXT devices.
Thanks to a list of Sony Android devices that was leaked earlier, we can tell you that the MT27i ‘Pepper’ might launch in April and it should be priced around 300 Euros.
