Sony is planning to launch a 12.9-inch Android tablet next year. The company, which has already launched tablets, such as the Sony Xperia Z Tablet in the past, is coming out with a new tablet, which would be launched in the first half of 2015. The tablet is expected to enter production soon, with Pegatron Technology manufacturing the tablet.
Rumored specs include a 3840 x 2400p WQUXGA display, an 8-megapixel rear cam and probably a Snapdragon 810 processor. Other specs are not yet known.
Sony Currently offers the Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia Z3 Tablet. It is known for sleek tablet having great cameras. It is not yet known whether the tablet would be IP68 certified water-proof or not. But it might just be.
The new Sony tab is expected to be priced heftily, above 50K. We might see the tablet at Mobile World Congress 2015.
