Sony Mobile Communications has today unveiled two new handsets in its Xperia line of smartphones. Both of the smartphones will be coming with IP55 and IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Also both of the handsets will be launched with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and then will be later updated to Android 4.0 ICS later.
The Xperia go seems to be an upgrade of the Xperia Active with a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine, a dual-core 1GHz processor, a 5MP camera and will be coming in black, white and yellow colour options.
The Xperia acro S is a global version of the Japanese Xperia acro HD and boasts a 4.3-inch 720p display, a 12-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, DLNA, NFC and will arrive in black, white and pink colour options.
Both the smartphones are said to hit the global markets by the third quarter of 2012.
