Indian manufacturer Smartron, whose brand ambassador is Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, launched the srt.phone earlier last month, and now, it seems the company would soon launch another smartphone as one of its smartphone has been spotted on GFXBench along with its specifications.
This Smartron phone is listed as Smartron T5525 on GFXBench, and, according to this listing, it has Snapdragon 653 SoC under the hood which is laced with 6 GB RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. It sports a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The unit was running Android 7.1.1 Nougat at the time of testing, and, it seems that it was layered with Smartron’s own customizations atop. Besides, even though the T5525 has 6 GB RAM under the hood, it only comes with 16 GB of internal storage. Well, hopefully there will be a microSD card slot so that users can expand the storage when they run out of space.
Moving on, the Smartron T5525 comes with a 12 MP snapper at the back and a 5 MP snapper on the front. The rear camera can take pictures at a resolution of 4160 x 3120 pixels while the front camera can take pictures at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Speaking of video recording, the rear camera is capable of shooting in 4K whereas the front camera can shoot in 2592 x 1944 pixel resolution.
Talking about connectivity, the Smartron T5525 comes with all the features like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. As is always with GFXBench listing, there’s no information available about the battery on the Smartron T5525, however, we should know more about this smartphone in the coming weeks (or months) as Smartron progresses with its development.
