Just a few weeks after launching the first t.book 2-in-1, Smartron, which is an Indian start-up backed by Sachin Tendulkar, is now all set to launch the t.phone.
Smartron has sent out press invites for its upcoming launch event scheduled for May 19. While the invite doesn’t mention any device, it is quite obvious that the company would unveil the t.phone, which is the company’s first smartphone and also touted to be the world’s lightest 5.5 inch phone. The handset was supposed to be launched last month but was delayed.
The Smartron t.phone is said to have a 5.5 inch full HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The phone is also equipped with a 12 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 4 MP camera. We should have the details about the pricing and availability next week.
