The new features in Skyfire 3.0 facebook connect:
Popular Content: you have just finished reading an article in a particular website and you wish to read some other article in that website, you don’t need to go to the home page and check the popular articles, just click on the popular button on the Skybar and instantly see what article is the most popular in that website. Remmendations from friends are prioritized and show up at the top of the list.
‘Fireplace’ feed reader: This tool provides a filtered list of your Facebook feed that includes links to your browsable web pages, images and videos posted by your Facebook friends.
Facebook Portal Integration: If you are browsing and if you want to check your Facebook feed for any updates, now you don’t need to switch from Skyfire to any other app or open a new window or another browser just click on the Facebook icon in the Skybar and you can view your Facebook feed, profile, etc. After seeing the updates you can go back to your browsing without the page reloading.
Facebook like button: Skyfire 3.0 puts Facebook like button on every page of the internet. You don’t need to search for the like button on the page now, simply click on the Skybar like button to ‘like’ or ‘unlike’ the page you are viewing or to share the page with your friends via Facebook, Twitter or email.
Skyfire One touch search: You can enter a search term and can choose to search Google, Facebook, videosurf, Digg, Twitter, Amazon without having to navigate to separate sites.
The best thing about this app is I can browse through my Facebook feed and notifications without having to switch to any other application or by opening a new window and I can see my Facebbok feed while browsing and after checking the updates I can go back to my browsing just by an sing click, but if you click on the mobile view then it automatically opens a new window in the browser, that’s a bit disappointing but overall it’s a great update.
