After rolling out the Live Stories feature globally to all the users last month, Instagram has introduced a new feature now. With the new feature, Instagram users can share up to 10 photos and videos in a single post.
Until now, users were only able to share one photo or video at a time, which meant they had to make multiple posts if they wanted to share more than one photo or video. Well, starting today, Instagram users on Android and iOS can share up to 10 photos and videos at once in a single post.
Now onwards, whenever you want to upload a photo or video, a new icon will be visible so that you can select multiple photos and videos and upload them to your feed. You can also choose the order in which these photos and videos will appear to others. As far as editing goes, you can either apply filters individually or apply the same filter to all at once. However, all the photos and videos shared in a post will have single caption. Also, for now, they will be square shaped.
Once you have uploaded multiple photos and videos in a single post, you will see them on your profile grid with a little icon on top indicating that there’s more to see in that post. In the feed, these kind of posts will appear with blue dots at their bottom, and, swiping across will show other photos and videos that have been included in the post.
This feature is available with version 10.9 of Instagram for iOS and Android. You can update your Instagram app to be able to use this new feature.
