Samsung is apparently said to be launching the Tizen-based Samsung Z2 in India alongside the much-awaited flagship Galaxy Note7 on August 11. While we heard some early rumours about the upcoming smartphone, the detailed specs have now been leaked.
According to sources, the Samsung Z2, which would be a Tizen-based smartphone, would be an entry-level smartphone. The device apparently has a 3.97 inch LCD display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is said to be powered by an unknown 1.5 GHz processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage on-board.
The Samsung Z2 would run on the latest Tizen 2.4 version. The phone is said to be equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera. Also expected is a 1500 mAh battery. The device is expected to have dual SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity.
The Samsung Z2 is said to retail in India at Rs. 4499. Interestingly, the handset is expected to be bundled with the Reliance Jio 4G Preview offer which would offer unlimited 4G data, voice calls and SMS for three months. We should get the exact details tomorrow.
