While there have been quite a few reports suggesting that Samsung would launch its Tizen OS smartphone in India in January, the handset may go on sale soon.
According to sources, the Samsung Z1, which is the company’s first budget smartphone running on the Tizen OS in the Indian market, would go on sale this week. Interestingly, the handset is priced at just Rs. 5700. While the exact date the device would go on sale is not yet known, the stocks of the handsets are expected to arrive by today.
The Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone is said to flaunt a 4 inch display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a dual core Spreadtrum with 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The device is also equipped with a 3.1 MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera. We can expect the official announcement in the next few days.
