A 2GHz, dual-core CPU is on the loose and Samsung is taking full responsibility of it. According to the Maeli Business Newspaper, Samsung will be releasing a 2GHz dual core CPU-equipped smart phone by next year and suggests that it will have the data processing capacities of a regular PC. The CPU is apparently being developed by Exynos which is the new branding for Hummingbird and will be a competitor for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon and NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 CPU. There is also a speculation that the processor will not be limited to Samsung phones, but also for other manufacturers which can put other CPU makers in bit of heat.
