After rolling out the Android KitKat updates to the flagship devices, Samsung is now realising updates to the older flagships like the Galaxy Note II.
Samsung has started rolling out the Android v4.4 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II users in India. The update weighing 416.58 MB would get the latest Android version 4.4.2 to the device. The update adds support for wireless printing, emojis in keyboard and other features. The update also adds minor UI improvements like white status bar icons, lock screen Camera shortcut, Enhanced Messaging, full screen music album art in the lock screen, improved user interface besides the regular performance updates.
The Android KitKat update is currently available Over-the-Air but is being pushed in a phased manner. As such, users will see the update over the next few days. To check if your device has received the updates, go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software update. You can also try updating using the Samsung Kies.
