Samsung rolled out Android Marshmallow update for the Galaxy Note5 last month in India, and now, Samsung is rolling out April security update for the Note5.
This security update is 19.32 MB in size. According to the change-log, this update comes with stability and security improvements. The firmware version will change to N920GDDS2BPD2 after installing this security update. An update with the same firmware is also rolling out in Nepal and Sri Lanka for the Galaxy Note5 with model number SM-N920G.
Besides Galaxy Note5, Samsung is also rolling out the April security update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in India. It’s good to see Samsung rolling out security updates. However, rolling the security updates regularly is very important as it’s required to keep the device secure.
The update will be rolled out gradually to all the users. However, you can go to Settings > About device to check for the update manually if you haven’t received it yet.
