After being in rumors for quite long, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo aka Grand Lite has been finally made official albeit in a quiet manner with no bells and whistles. While we already know almost everything about the device, we are happy that the official tag will put all Galaxy Grand Neo rumors to rest.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo features a 5-inch WVGA (800×480) display similar to the original Grand. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz A7 Quad-Core chipset coupled with 1 GB RAM. There’s 8 gigs of internal storage along with support for microSD expansion. On the camera side of things, it features a 5 MP rear camera with an LED flash and a VGA front facing shooter.
The connectivity is well covered as you would expect from a modern day smartphone but it is missing 4G LTE quite expectedly. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs the show along with the usual TouchWiz customizations. A 2100 mAh battery makes sure the device keeps running.
There’s one more ‘Neo’ smartphone still in the rumors, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and we hope Samsung makes it official soon too. Well, coming back to the Galaxy Grand Neo, the device is already on sale at a Dutch retailer and it is priced at $355. We should see the Galaxy Grand Neo hit the other markets including India quite soon and as always we’ll keep you posted.
