Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of three new Dual SIM handsets in India namely the Samsung Star II Duos (C6712), Metro DUOS (C3322) and Metro C3752.
The Samsung Star II Duos is a touch-screen handset with the Touchwiz 3.0 interface which gives features like expandable home screens, Quick panel & Quicktype found in higher end smartphones. It has a 3.2 inch capacitive touch-screen display, a 3.2 MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, Native SNS, Multi IM and Push Email with ActiveSync, 30 MB Internal memory expandable to 16GB, and a 1200mAh battery. The Star Duos II is priced at Rs. 6,920.
The Samsung Metro DUOS (C3322) supports dual SIM standby technology, has a classic brushed metal design and is loaded social media and multimedia features. The handset has a 2.2 inch display and features other multimedia options like MP3 player , FM radio, native client access to Facebook and Twitter and popular Instant Messengers like Yahoo, MSN, GTalk & Facebook Chat. Out of these Yahoo & MSN are Push Messengers that run in the background and keep you available to chat 24/7. Push Mail is available through the Activesync application embedded in the phone and its external memory can be expanded up to 16 GB through microSD card slot. The connectivity options of the phone include EDGE, Bluetooth 2.1, WAP2.0/HTML Browser and USB 2.0. Its 1000 mAh battery gives up to 10hrs talktime. The Metro DUOS is priced at Rs. 4,240.
The Metro DUOS comes with an offer from Tata DOCOMO which is offering customers an all round benefit of free voice (500 minutes to a Tata DoCoMo subscriber), Data (1GB) & SMS (500 SMSes to any network). This comes with 3 months of validity.
The Metro 3752 comes in a slider form factor, and has a 2.4 inch TFT display. The handset also boasts features like a 3MP camera, 8 regional language display support, Bluetooth 2.1, EDGE, microSD support of up to 16GB, and a 900 mAh battery. The Samsung Metro C3752 is priced at Rs. 5,270.
