Recently we had seen that Apple was successful in forcing Samsung from selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany after it won a legal battle against the South Korean major. But now Samsung seems to have hit back on Apple by filing a case against it for infringement of 3 technology patents in its iPhone and iPad tablet in a Paris district court and the first hearing is expected in December.
The complaint this time focuses on the use of Samsung patents with UMTS, which is a third-gen mobile technology in Apple’s iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPhone 4 and also iPad 1st and 2nd generation.
Samsung is also said to be appealing against the verdict that a court had announced against it, thus banning the sale of its Galaxy 10.1 tablet as it felt that Samsung had copied the design from Apple’s iPad. In a counter-attack Samsung filed legal cases in Seoul, asking for a ban on sales of the US firm’s products in South Korea.
