Here we go! While the Galaxy S III is still selling hot, things around the Samsung Galaxy S IV are already steaming up.If the leaked specs of the smartphone were not enough, the GT-I9400 has appeared on the benchmark results.
The GT-I9200 went on to be the Galaxy S II and the GT-I9300 released as the Galaxy S III, so the GT-9400 which has appeared in the benchmarks is attributed to be the Galaxy S IV.
Though we have heard in the past that the S IV would be arriving with a quad-core Exynos SoC and full-HD 4.99-inch display, the results of the benchmark tests suggest otherwise.
The GT-I9400 which was tested (if not faked) was powered on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with Mali-400 GPU. The screen resolution too is pegged at just 800 x 480 pixels in contrast to the 1920 x 1080 pixels display we expect the smartphone to arrive with.
It is to be noted that before any smartphone is launched, it is bound to be tested multiple times with different hardware so these specs are not coming as a surprise. But then, these might have been faked too.
Whatever be the case, we expect Samsung to unveil the 4.99-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display at the upcoming CES 2013 while the device could be unveiled before May 2013.
