Further expanding its wearable range, Samsung has launched the Samsung Gear Fit2 fitness tracker with a heart rate sensor.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Gear Fit2 fitness tracker, which is the company’s latest fitness tracker and the successor to the Gear Fit. The band tracks all fitness related activities including walking, squatting, yoga, treadmill and more. The GPS and Heart Rate monitor (HRM) help measuring distance, pace, route and calories burned and heart rate.
Interestingly, the Samsung Gear Fit2 fitness tracker comes with a standalone music player that lets you transfer music between the Gear Fit2 and your smartphone using the Samsung Gear application. Further, the tracker can also play motivational soundtrack over Bluetooth to keep you moving. The tracker is IP68 certified for water resistance up to 30 minutes in up to 1.5m of water.
the Samsung Gear Fit2 fitness tracker has a 1.5 inch curved Super AMOLED display with resolution of 432 x 216 pixels. The wearable is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The device runs on the Tizen OS and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.4 and higher. The tracker is priced at $179 (approx. Rs. 12000).
