Samsung is said to be unveiling its Tab S range of tablets at its June 12 event and today, we have press renders of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
We recently came across press renders of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 looks very similar to it. There’s the same dotted pattern back from the Galaxy S5. The back features two mysterious circles of which we know nothing about. The front has the same hardware home and recent, back capacitive keys.
We have also come to know some of the specs. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will feature a 8.4-inch display of the same resolution as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, that is 2560×1600 pixels. The tablet should be powered by an octa-core Exynos 5420 chipset with 3 GB RAM. While we don’t know the internal storage on the device, we do know that there will be a microSD slot like most other Samsung devices. The tablet will come in both WiFi only and LTE variants.
The June 12 event is dubbed as “Galaxy Premier 2014” and we should see both the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4 get unveiled there. Samsung has already announced high end tablets earlier in the year in the form of the PRO and the Note tablets and now the Tab S tablets.
