We recently came across a benchmark listing, which suggested that Samsung is working on a new high end tablet range under Galaxy Tab S. Today, we have leaked pictures of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
The front of the device is the usual Samsung stuff with hardware keys and it looks similar to what we’ve seen on the Tab Pro and Note tablets. The back features the same dotted leather back that we’ve seen on the Galaxy S5.
We get to know the specs as well. There’s a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display of 2560×1600 pixels resolution. It is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 5420 chipset. Android 4.4 KitKat is in tow as well with the usual TouchWiz customisations.
On the camera front, there’s an 8 MP primary camera and a 2.1 MP front facing camera. There’s LTE support, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS and an IR Blaster.
That’s all we know about the Tab S 10.5. We don’t know when Samsung plans to unveil it but we can expect that to happen soon. Samsung should also unveil the Tab S 8.5 along with the Tab S 8.5. These should be the first AMOLED packing tablets since 2011. Tell us, what you prefer, IPS LCD or AMOLED.
