With the new generation getting highly tech-savvy, Samsung is trying to promote the tech culture amongst kids by launching the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, thus embarking into a market which hasn’t been tapped earlier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, which is targeted primarily for children, is a specially designed tablet with the educational tools and safety features parents want. The device has a colourful design with a Kids Case featuring a kids-friendly grip and multiple stand options. The tablet has a 7 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is equipped with two cameras – a rear facing 3 MP camera and a front facing 1.2 MP camera. The tablet also includes a Time Management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods for use. When the designated use time is up, a password protected lock screen appears, requiring a parent or adult to enter the password to unlock the device.
Speaking about the newly launched tablet for kids, said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics, said, “It’s no secret that kids are using technology more than ever before. We saw an opportunity to create a device just for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user experience filled with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love.”
