While just the other day, LG had announced its triple SIM handset – Optimus L1 II Tri, Samsung also seems to see a future in that area and has launched its own triple SIM device with entry level specs – the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios.
The Samsung Galaxy Star Trios, as the name suggests has triple SIM capabilities. The phone seems to be a variant of the Galaxy Star. The device has a small 3.14 inch display with resolution of just 320 x 240 pixels. The handset is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Star Trios is equipped with a 2 MP camera. The device runs on the Android v4.1 with a 1300 mAh battery. Given that the handset has very low-end specs, the phone is priced at just $165 and is currently available only in Brazil. But like the Optimus L1 II Tri, we can expect this phone to be rolled out to emerging markets soon.
