Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to launch the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in India on March 6, and, the company has started sending out press invites to the media for the launch event that will take place in New Delhi – the capital of India.
Needless to say, the press invite, which is actually a video this time, doesn’t reveal any pricing details of either of these smartphones, however, if a recent leak is anything to go by, then the 64 GB storage variants of S9 and S9+ will have an MRP of ₹62,500 and ₹70,000 respectively, whereas, the 256 GB storage variants of the S9 and S9+ will come with MRP of ₹71,000 and ₹79,000 respectively in India.
Samsung launched the S9 and S9+ in three internal storage variants – 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB – however, it will only be launching the 64 GB and 256 GB storage variants in India.
Samsung India has already opened up pre-bookings of these smartphones on its official website, but, the sales will only commence from March 16.
That said, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are powered by Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chip, but, the ones we will have in India will come Exynos 9810 under the hood.
We are less than a week away from the launch of these flagships in India which is when we will know more about their price. What do you think should be the ideal price of the S9 and S9+ in India?
