Last week, Samsung rolled out Android Pie update for two of its smartphones in Germany – the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Well now, the company has started rolling out this update in India as well.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are both receiving the stable build of Android Pie in India. The update weighs more than 1.6 GB in size and carries version number G950FXXU4DSBA for Galaxy S8 and G955FXXU4DSBA for the S8+.
The Android Pie update for both Galaxy S8 and S8+ comes with One UI which is the latest version of Samsung’s custom UI. In addition to that, the update also brings Pie-specific features to these phones, as well as the latest Android security patch that’s dated February 1, 2019.
This Android Pie update for Galaxy S8 and S8+ is rolling out over-the-air and should reach all the units in India in a week or two. But, if you can’t wait for the update notification to pop-up on your phone, you can check for the update manually by heading over to the phone’s Settings > Software update menu.
Are you a Galaxy S8/S8+ user from India? Have you received the stable build of Android Pie on your phone?
