The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge was announced in February this year during MWC 2016. And last month, Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition. Now, it looks like Samsung is soon going to announce another special edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge, the Olympic Edition.
The press render of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Edition has surfaced online, thanks to famous leakster Evan Blass. He shared the above shown image on Twitter. It’s worth noting that Samsung is the partner of 2016 Olympics and hence it might be planning to sell this special edition of the Galaxy S7 edge.
As you can see in the image above, the S7 edge flaunts yellow accent at the front on the earpiece and around the home button, blue accent at the back around the camera and flash. It has also covered the volume rockers on the left with green color and power button on the right with red color. The overall body is covered with black color, hence, completing five colors that are a part of the Olympic logo. You can also see the five Olympic rings at the back below the camera.
This Olympic edition is also expected to come pre-loaded with Olympic special apps which would let the users keep up with the ongoing event. There’s also a possibility that Samsung would give the Gear VR for free with the purchase, letting users experience the Olympics in VR. The S7 edge Injustice Edition too had a Gear VR in the kit.
Samsung had also launched the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition last year. While all these limited editions look cool, they are expensive as well at the same time. Talking about the specs, it’s very unlikely that this Olympic Edition will have hardware any different than the regular S7 edge.
There’s no word from Samsung on the Galaxy S7 edge Olympics Edition, guess it will make the announcement once the Olympics are nearer. By the way, which limited edition did you like the most? The Batman edition is the one we would like to have.
