Alongside the flagship Galaxy S7, Samsung has also launched the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with the curved edge display in India.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone with 3D glass with Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor, Barometer and metal design. The device has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED Always ON pressure sensitive curved edge display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the octa core Exynos 8 Octa processor with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
Samsung seems to have given the camera quite a thought with the Dual Pixel camera where it has used a smaller 12 MP camera sensor but with a larger 1.4 micron pixels capable of collecting 95 percent more photons hence improving picture quality in low-light scenarios. The Dual Pixel technology promises faster and more accurate autofocus and a better camera experience.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also has a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow version with the new Edge UX. The phone flaunts a massive 3600 mAh battery with support for fast charging. The handset is equipped with dual SIM (hybrid) support with 4G LTE connectivity.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is priced at Rs. 56900 for the 32 GB variant. The handset is available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium color options and will go on sale starting from March 18. The company is offering a free Gear VR along with the handset for customers who pre-book the device by March 17.
