Just a week after Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, the company has now launched the handset in India.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, which is the variant of the flagship Galaxy S6 edge. The device picks up the design language from the Galaxy S6 Edge and comes with a curved dual edge display. The handset comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button and can be used to authenticate financial transactions and a heart rate monitor on the back.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.1 GHz octa core Exynos 7420 processor with a massive 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There is however no provision for a microSD card or other expandable memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 16 MP rear facing auto focus camera with OIS, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the latest Android Lollipop version with a layer of TouchWiz. The handset is priced at Rs. 57900 and is available in Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium color options. The device would go on sale in India starting from August 28.
