Along with the Samsung Galaxy Note5, Samsung has also announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ at the company’s unPacked event.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, which is the variant of the flagship Galaxy S6 edge. The device picks up the design language from the Galaxy S6 Edge and comes with a curved dual edge display. The handset comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button and can be used to authenticate financial transactions and a heart rate monitor on the back.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.1 GHz octa core Exynos 7420 processor with a massive 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There is however no provision for a microSD card or other expandable memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 16 MP rear facing auto focus camera with OIS, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the latest Android Lollipop version with a layer of TouchWiz. The pricing details and global rollout details are yet to be revealed.
