Samsung has always paired its flagships with an “Active” variant and the Galaxy S6 is going to be no exception. The Galaxy S6 Active has leaked, thanks to the folks at SamMobile.
The leak reveals the specs of the device along with a few other details. According to the report, the Galaxy S6 Active will pack in a 5.1-inch display of Quad HD (2560x1440p) resolution and it’s said to be powered by the same Octa-core Exynos 7420 processor from the Galaxy S6. There’s also said to be 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage along with same 16 MP and 5 MP camera units.
One thing that has said to be changed is the whopping 3500 mAh battery, which is certainly great news considering rugged devices need better battery life. The highlight of the device should be its rugged features but that’s not been revealed as of now. We surely can expect water resistance and dust resistance to be packed.
The leak also reveals that the Galaxy S6 Active should arrive at US carrier AT&T with the model number SM-G890A. The other variants of the device should come with the model number SM-G890x.
The Galaxy S6 Active seems like a quite an interesting device and the battery life along with the rugged features make it seem better than the Galaxy S6 itself. We sure would want to know more about the device and we will let you know when we do.
