While we are eagerly awaiting the Galaxy S5 Prime, Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A smartphone, which the company claims is the fastest internet phone.
Samsung has unveiled Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A in South Korea. While the smartphone is almost the same as the regular Galaxy S5, it has support for LTE Advanced that offers download speeds of up to 225 Mbps. Further Samsung has upgraded the display resolution to 2560 x 1440 pixels, thus offering a 577 ppi density on the 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display.
The best part of the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A is however the new Snapdragon 805 processor used to power the smartphone. This makes the handset the first smartphone to flaunt the superfast Snapdragon 805 CPU. The quad core processor running at 2.5 GHz is supported by 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and the Adreno 420 GPU.
Other than these changes, the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A has the exact same features as the regular Galaxy S5 including the 16 MP rear facing camera and 2 MP front facing camera. It also is dust and waterproof and comes with the heart monitor and fingerprint scanner. The handset is available in Charcoal Black, Shimmer White, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, Sweet Pink, and Glam Red colour options. The company has mentioned that the device would launch later this year, but will remain exclusive to South Korea.
